Support and escalation

What to include in a ticket so it is answered in one round trip, and what counts as an incident.

2 minute read

Tickets go to the maintainer of the product, not to a first-line queue. The median response is under four hours, and the answer is usually a fix rather than a request to reinstall.

What to include

  • 01The product and its exact version.
  • 02Your full mod list in load order — a copy of the -mod parameter is ideal.
  • 03The relevant RPT excerpt, not the whole file.
  • 04What you expected and what happened instead, separately.

What counts as an incident

Breakage caused by a DayZ update is treated as an incident and takes priority over everything else in the queue. Fixes are published as soon as they pass testing rather than being batched into the next scheduled release.
